Agents seek answers in abuse of kitten

YOUNGSTOWN

Humane agents at Animal Charity are asking the public for information on a case of kitten abuse.

A kitten between 4 to 5 weeks old was found just after 12 a.m. Monday near the ESA Park Apartments on the city’s East Side. The kitten was bleeding from its eyes, which were closed, said Talia Musolino, manager at Animal Charity.

A witness saw someone throw the kitten into a nearby bush but did not see other abuse. It’s unclear how the kitten’s eyes were injured, Musolino said.

The kitten’s wounds have healed significantly, and a thorough vision exam was planned for Tuesday. Those with information are asked to call 330-788-1064.
