Seniors troupe offers variety show

CHAMPION

Trumbull Senior Production Company will present “Senior Moments — A Variety Show” at 7 p.m. Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday at Champion High School on Route 45.

The show was written, directed and choreographed by Jason Burgermyer.

It features songs, dance and comedy with the Chorus Line Divas, the TSPC Chorus, the Diamond Dancers, the quartet Chord of Appeals, the Starlight Dancers and the TSPC Players.

Tickets are $10 at the door.

Academy to sponsor spring arts festival

Holy Trinity Orthodox Christian Academy will present “Pandora’s Box,” a Greek myth, at 6:15 p.m. Friday at St. Demetrios Orthodox Church social hall, 429 High St.

The event also will showcase artwork by the students.

Hispanic students’ art to be displayed

YOUNGSTOWN

The Youngstown State University Hispanic Heritage Planning Committee is inviting students in grades seven to 12 to participate in the Hispanic Heritage Month Art Competition.

Deadline for submissions is June 1.

Entries will be displayed during Hispanic Heritage Month events at YSU and throughout the community, Sept. 15 through Oct. 15.

Students are requested to submit artwork that reflects this year’s theme, “Without Boundaries: Connecting Our Cultures.”

The winning entry will be featured on the cover of the 2012 Hispanic Heritage Month program booklet.
