“AMERICAN IDOL” (8 p.m., fox): Power ballads. Teen divas. “Goosies.” Randy Jackson’s hideous jackets. ... We’ve experienced it all in this, the 11th season, of prime time’s most-popular talent competition. But now, it’s finally time to crown a champion. The final two contestants faced off Tuesday, so they’ll have to suffer through a horrendously bloated two-hour finale tonight before hearing the verdict. Our prediction? Confetti will fall and someone will cry.

“revenge” (10 p.m., abc): “Revenge,” indeed, has been sweet all season as it became the most buzzed-about network series. Now, comes a season finale that reportedly places several characters in peril and a stunning revelation that will provoke Victoria (Madeleine Stowe) to go on a revenge quest of her own.
