YSU hires vice president for fundraising

YOUNGSTOWN

Youngstown State University has appointed a Lake Erie College vice president as the new vice president for university advancement.

R. Scott Evans, who works as v.p. of institutional advancement at Lake Erie, will take the YSU post July 23.

Evans has helped raise $100 million over a 19-year development career, according to a YSU news release.

YSU President Cynthia E. Anderson said Evans was selected after a national search because of his vast experience and success in higher education fundraising in Northeast Ohio, particularly at Lake Erie College in Painesville and at the Northeast Ohio Medical University in Rootstown, Ohio.
