CARD, BINGO PARTIES

Holy Apostles Parish will sponsor a bingo party every Friday at Cardinal Mindszenty Hall, 545 N. Belle Vista Ave., Youngstown. Doors will open at 5 p.m., and there will be an early bird at 6:45. For information call 330-792-1174.

Niles S.C.O.P.E. Senior Center, 14 E. State St., will have its annual card and bingo party from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. May 30. Cards will be played from 9 to 11:30 a.m. Lunch will be served at 11:30, and door prizes will be awarded from 12:15 to 1 p.m. Bingo will start at 1 p.m., and cards also may be played from 1 to 3:30. There will be a 50-50 raffle and a money tree raffle. The cost is $5 per person; registration is required. Call the center at 330-544-3676 or stop in.

CRAFT SHOWS

Salem Memorial Building Association will sponsor its 25th annual Arts & Crafts In the Park from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. June 23 at Centennial Park, East Pershing Street, Salem. Setup will be at 7 a.m., rain or shine. A 20-by-20-foot space is $25 if you supply a table and chairs; an 8-foot table with chairs is available for $35. There are no refunds. Tents are allowed; there is no electricity. Vendors are asked to donate one item to the Office on Aging basket auction. Checks or money orders can be mailed to: Salem Memorial Building, 785 E. FESTIVALS/FAIRS

Harvey S. Firestone Park Festival of the Arts in Columbiana will take place from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Aug. 4. Artists, crafters and antique dealers will be located in the park setting, where there also will be a variety of food vendors and an afternoon of free entertainment. This juried show has a limit of 250 spaces. For the application fee of $65, vendors receive a 20-by-20-foot space, free parking and dealers assistance. A cash prize will go to the most attractive booth in each of the three categories. Applications must include at least three photos of previous displays. After June 1, an additional fee of $10 will be charged.

RAFFLES

American Cancer Society Relay for Life—Team Rachel is selling raffle tickets for four one-day Disney World Park Hopper tickets valid through April 1, 2014. This is a $480 value that admits you to Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom. Tickets cost $10 each, and the drawing will be Saturday. SALES

Ursuline Center, 4300 Shields Road, Canfield, will host a Car Trunk & Treasure Sale at 9 a.m. July 14. There also will be food and beverages, a book sale, baked goods and a furniture sale inside the center. The cost for side-by-side spaces in the parking lot is $25; after June 30 the fee will increase to $30. All spaces are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Wickliffe Block Watch will have a trunk sale from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. June 30 at Wickliffe Christian Church, 3939 Potomac Ave., Austintown, in conjunction with its annual block party. Spaces are available for $10. The party is open to all Austintown residents and will run from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. There will be cash prizes awarded to the top eaters of a hot dog eating contest with three age groups: 8 to 12, 13 to 17 and 18 and up. There also will be music, games, face painting, a basket auction, door prizes, antique cars and demonstrations by area safety forces. The Block Watch will provide free food, and the Austintown Police Department will provide beverages. TRIPS

New Bethel Baptist Church Senior Ministry will host a trip June 9 to Put-in-Bay, South Bass Island, Ohio. The bus will depart the church parking lot, 1507 Hillman St., at 7 a.m. and will return at about 8 p.m. the same day. The cost of $100 per person is for adults and children and is not refundable.
