Cancer wellness center to be focus of event

AUSTINTOWN

A local organization is striving to support cancer patients, survivors, caregivers and family members with its vision for an all-inclusive cancer wellness center to serve the Mahoning Valley.

An organization named Yellow Brick Place is hosting an awareness day from 1 to 4 p.m. July 15 in Stacey Pavilion in Austintown Township Park. The free event, dubbed Celebrate Survival Day, will feature activities for children and families, such as music, games, food and entertainment.

Anna Aey, lead organizer, is a cancer survivor.
