SENIOR CITIZENS
Commercial Intertech Retirees will meet at noon Tuesday at St. Mark Fellowship Hall on Logan Way. Lou Pizzuto will preside. Reports will be given by Roberta Shick and Gloria Wielbruda. Rick Otterson will speak on continued changes in health care. There will be a ticket auction, and luncheon hostesses will be Carmela Felde and Lucille Congemi. Holy Family Seniors will meet at 11:30 a.m. Monday at Holy Family Center in Hope Hall. Use the Youth Center entrance. A Mother’s Day luncheon, compliments of the club, will be served at noon for members only. Report an illness or death to Carolyn Bryson at 330-757-1146.
Holy Name Seniors will have no meeting in May because of the Memorial Day weekend. The next meeting will be June 24.
Liberty Friends will meet at 10 a.m .Wednesday at the Liberty Presbyterian Church, 1451 Church Hill-Hubbard Road, for fellowship, cards and games. Take a sack lunch; coffee will be provided. All are welcome.
Martha Lupse 50-Plus Card and Game Club will meet from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Thursday in Room 106 at Poland United Methodist Church. Bridge, 500, chess and checkers will be played, and Douglas Martin will give the devotions. Members are reminded to take a sack lunch; coffee and tea will be provided. Packard Electric and Delphi Packard Local 717 Retirees will meet at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Local 717 Union Hall in Warren Commerce Park, 2950 Sferra Ave. Members are asked to take a labeled covered dish and table service. A collection will be taken for Warren Family Rescue Mission, and a program will be presented on the Changing of the Guard at Arlington National Cemetery.
P.E.R.I. 18 will host the annual District 11 meeting for the State of Ohio June 6 at the Georgetown, 5495 South Ave., Youngstown. Representatives from various health care services will be available to answer questions and concerns. Registration will begin at 10 a.m. and lunch will be served at noon. The menu includes penne pasta, meatballs, chicken, potatoes, green beans, salad, rolls and butter, dessert and a beverage. The cost to attend is $13 payable at the door. REAC 3298 will meet at 1 p.m. Monday at Lucianno’s in Austintown. Angie Piesto will serve as hostess, and a 50-50 raffle is planned. New members and guests are welcome. The next meeting is planned for June 18.
