Car-motorcycle crash injures 3

Three people were injured, two seriously, after a car struck a motorcycle on Mahoning Avenue in Milton Township, said the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

According to the state patrol, the crash happened at 6:47 p.m. Friday west of Southeast River Road.

State troopers said Walter Stevens IV, 25, of Lake Milton, was driving a car west on Mahoning when it went left of center, striking a motorcycle operated by Joseph Virostek, 40, of Lake Milton. Virostek and his passenger, Justina Virostek, 13, were thrown from the bike.

All three were taken to St. Elizabeth Health Center, and Justina was airlifted to Akron Children’s Hospital in Akron. Virostek was in stable condition Saturday evening. Stevens was no longer at the hospital.

Akron Children’s had no report on Justina’s condition.
