Three injured in car, motorcycle crash in Milton Township

LAKE MILTON — Three people were injured, two seriously, after a car struck a motorcycle on Mahoning Avenue in Milton Township, the Ohio State Highway Patrol said.

According to the patrol, the crash happened at 6:47 p.m. Friday west of Southeast River Road.

State troopers said Walter Stevens IV, 25, of Lake Milton was driving a car west on Mahoning when he drove left of center, striking a motorcycle operated by Joseph Virostek, 40, of Lake Milton. Virostek and his passenger, Justina Virostek, 13, were thrown from the bike.

All three were taken to St. Elizabeth Health Center, and Justina was airlifted to Akron Children’s Hospital in Akron.

Virostek was in stable condition late this evening. Stevens was no longer at the hospital.

Akron Children’s had no report on Justina’s condition. The patrol is investigating the accident.
