AUSTINTOWN

Bethel Assembly of God, 3807 Mahoning Ave., will install Pastor Jeffery Street in a special service at 9:30 a.m. Sunday, with a time of fellowship to follow.

Pastor John Wootton, Ohio Ministry Network superintendent, will conduct the service.

Pastor Street and his wife, Heather, also have been serving as lead pastor at Summit Church in McDonald for two years and were elected as lead pastor at Bethel Assembly in December.

They have six children and are lifelong area residents.

Choir anniversary

YOUNGSTOWN

The Gospel Choir at Phillips Memorial Missionary Baptist Church, 1407 Victor Ave., will celebrate its anniversary at 4 p.m. Sunday with a special event that will include choirs from other congregations.

Rummage sale

NEW WATERFORD

Abundant Life Fellowship will sponsor a spring rummage sale from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday and Friday and 9 a.m. to noon next Saturday in the fellowship hall.

Proceeds will be used to fund expansion of kitchen facilities, which are needed as the church continues to increase its outreach ministries in the community.

In conjunction with the sale, church youths will be selling food and beverages to help offset costs for youths to attend the Alive Festival this summer, Acquire the Fire in the fall and other upcoming events.

Sexuality workshop

VILLA MARIA, Pa.

Villa Maria Spirituality and Education Center will offer a two-day workshop June 4 and 5 titled Spirituality and Sexuality: Two Faces of One Desire. The workshop will explore many facets of the topic, including contemporary issues and how spiritual directors can be helpful.

The program will be facilitated by Debbie Sheehan, a spiritual director and retreat director. She served eight years as the Director of Formation & Education in Sexuality for the Archdiocese of Omaha.

Cost is $190 to stay Sunday through Tuesday and includes lodging and meals. Participants may stay one night for $160, which includes overnight accommodations and meals. A commuter rate of $70 a day, which includes lunch, is also available. Advanced registration is required by Tuesday.
