Celebrate Poland moves fireworks to Saturday

Celebrate Poland has been a staple in the community for the past several years and features family and youth centered activities in the Town Hall area.

The weekend of June 29-30 will feature a parade, fireworks, a craft and art show, the Poland Idol talent show, a sidewalk chalk art contest and more.

The big change in the schedule of events for 2012 is moving the annual fireworks display to Saturday.

The traditional Friday evening Firemen’s parade will take place as before, followed by a Battle of the Bands, featuring six bands ranging from country to rock to alternative. The bands will perform in the field behind Village Hall.

Saturday’s activities include a variety of fun, cultural and historical activities in the historic town center and library area of the village.
