“Footloose,” Salem Community Theatre, 490 E. State St., Salem. Auditions will be at 7 p.m. Sunday and Monday. The diverse cast requires youth and adults, 16 to 65 years old. Besides reading from a script, actors should come prepared to sing and dance. Rehearsals will begin in early June; performances: Aug. 3-12. 330-332-9688.

“King Stag,SDRq by Carlo Gozzi, adapted by director Cleric Costes. It tells the story of King Deramo’s search for his bride and features would-be princesses, a double-crossing prime minister, a magician, members of court, a parrot and magical stags. A fairy tale for all ages with magic, confusion, betrayal and love. Oakland Center for the Arts, Youngstown. Auditions are 4:30 to 6 p.m. Sunday and Monday. Auditioners must be between age 12 and 17 and will be asked to read from the script. Bring current wallet-sized photo. Participation fee is $20 per actor.
