Gallery to display winning posters

The winning entries in the annual Trumbull Soil and Water Conservation District stewardship poster contest will be on display at the Art Outreach gallery in the Sears concourse of Eastwood Mall in Niles through the end of May.

The theme this year was “Soil to Spoon,” emphasizing the importance of healthy soil in the production of food.

Kennedy Jones from Howland Glen Elementary was first in the Kindergarten and Grade 1 division. In the second and third grades, first place went to Brycen Klotzbach of LaBrae’s Bascom Elementary. Second and third were Austen Price and Carla Thigpen of Howland’s North Road Intermediate.

In grades 4 to 6, Lakeview Middle School student Marcus Cupp was first. Kaylie Klotzbach and Caitlyn Frazier, both of LaBrae Middle School, were second and third, respectively. Honorable mention went to Morgan Clover and Aubrey Weber, from LaBrae.

First in the high-school division was Karley Sullivan of LaBrae. Second was Mia Echevarria of Hubbard, and third was Tiffany Warne of LaBrae. Amanda Richards and Kelsey Schuster from LaBrae were honorable mention.
