Miss Conversino, Mr. Backur plan October wedding

AUSTINTOWN

Nancy Backur of Austintown is announcing the engagement and forthcoming marriage of her son, Brian Backur, to Amanda Conversino, both of Findlay, Ohio. The prospective groom also is the son of Ron Backur of Canton.

The bride-elect is the daughter of Joseph Conversino of Moorpark, Calif., and Sue and John Hug of Massillon.

The couple will be married in an afternoon ceremony Oct. 27 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Massillon. An evening reception is being planned at La Pizzaria Restaurant in Canton.

Miss Conversino earned a bachelor’s degree in communications from the University of Dayton. She is a data processor for Sky Link in Findlay.

Mr. Backur graduated from Bowling Green State University with a bachelor’s degree in education. He is an English teacher with New Riegel Local Schools in New Riegel, Ohio.
