BOARDMAN

Megan Alison Lang and Tyler John Foxwell, both of Pittsburgh, were united in marriage in an afternoon ceremony Dec. 28, 2011, at St. James Meeting House in Boardman Park.

The Rev. Josh Miller of Church of the Ascension in Pittsburgh officiated for the daughter of David and Gwen Lang of Poland, and the son of Philip and Anda Foxwell of Higashikurume-shi, Tokyo, Japan.

An evening reception took place at the Davis Center in Fellows Riverside Gardens, in Mill Creek Park, Youngstown.

The bride wore her grandmother’s wedding gown from 1953, which her mother also wore. It featured Chantilly lace over nylon tulle and satin, a fitted bodice, round neckline and full-length skirt with scalloped hemline. She chose an ivory charmeuse slim cocktail dress for the reception.

Alanna Foxwell-Barajas, the groom’s sister, was matron of honor, and Marisa Foxwell, also the groom’s sister, was her bridesmaid. Both wore mocha chiffon and charmeuse dresses. Eliza Loeks, the groom’s cousin, was the flower girl. She wore a latte-colored dress.

Jordan Foxwell, the groom’s brother, performed the duties of best man. Kevin Lang, the bride’s brother, served as groomsman.

Mrs. Foxwell graduated from Grove City College with a degree in chemistry. She is pursuing a master’s degree in education at the University of Pittsburgh.

Mr. Foxwell earned a degree in biology from Wheaton College. He is employed as a medical researcher at UPMC in Pittsburgh.

After a wedding trip to Laurel Highlands, Pa., the couple are making their home in Pittsburgh.
