Children plan to honor parents for 50th anniversary

A celebration in honor of the 50th wedding anniversary of Eugene and Rita Wolfgang of Campbell is being planned by their children.

Invitations will be extended for a church celebration and luncheon at St. John the Baptist Church in Campbell, where the couple are members.

Mr. Wolfgang and the former Rita Bires were married May 12, 1962, in Boardman.

The couple are the parents of four children: Stephen Wolfgang and Michael Wolfgang of Campbell; Monica Szilagyi of Green Township; and Cathleen Shaffer of Hudson, Ohio. Seven grandchildren complete the family.

Mrs. Wolfgang is a homemaker and is a member of Tripoli Card Club and St. John Parish Council PTA.

Mr. Wolfgang retired in 2003 as the parts manager at Youngstown Buick Car Dealership in Boardman. He is a member of various bowling leagues and is the president and secretary of Metro 7 Parts Club.
