Ohio treasurer, U.S. Senate nominee, to visit Valley businesses Monday

Ohio Treasurer Josh Mandel, Republican nominee for the U.S. Senate, is visiting small businesses in Youngstown and Lordstown on Monday, the first day of a statewide “jobs tour.”

Mandel will tour Con-Way Freight, a freight operations center, in Lordstown on Muth Road Southwest and speak to workers from 10 am. to 10:45 a.m.

Mandel will then go to City Machine Technologies Inc. from 11:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. to speak to the Youngstown National

Federation of Independent Business Area Action Council. The NFIB, a small-business association, has endorsed Mandel for the Senate seat, currently held by Sherrod Brown, a Democrat running for re-election.

City Machine is a Youngstown company, located on West Rayen Avenue, that repairs and manufactures gears, pumps, motors and generators for steel mills, food processors and public utility companies.
