Nature enthusiasts needed to lead programs, hikes

EAST LEWISTON

Beaver Township Park Board is seeking nature experts and enthusiasts to present educational programs and lead nature hikes at the nature preserve this spring and summer.

The board also has an opening for a volunteer naturalist to oversee activities.

Scott Conway, Beaver Township parks administrator, said the park board wants to expand its current programs and incorporate additional resources for its popular education series.

The nature preserve has 80 acres of nature trails, a footbridge, picnic areas and numerous wildlife. Guided tours may be scheduled.

The township has invited local school districts to conduct classes and host field trips at the nature preserve.
