BOARDMAN

Troy Parks (7-0) and Donny Kratofil teamed up for the shutout for the Spartans (15-6). In his six innings on the mound, Parks struck out nine batters and walked none. Anthony Pacella’s three hits included a double and drove in two runs. Nico DiIanni’s two hits included a double. Derek Pasquale and Cameron Rodgers also doubled. The Spartans advance to play the Kent-Chardon winner on Wednesday at Cene Park. Warren Harding is 14-10.

DIVISION II

Lakeview 7, Southeast 2

RAVENNA

Kevin Arnold (3-4) pitched a complete-game three-hitter with eight strikeouts for the Bulldogs (9-14) who play at Canfield today at 4:30 p.m. Lakeview did all its scoring in the third inning, keyed by a three-run homer by Arnold. He finished 3-for-4 including a double. The Pirates are 11-10.

West Branch 10, Hubbard 0

BELOIT

Beau Taylor’s two hits drove in three runs for the Warriors (15-11), who advance to today’s sectional championship game at Ravenna. Winning pitcher Jeff Vizzuso (6-3) gave up one hit in his five innings on the mound. He struck out five and walked none. Vizzuso and Brenden Wells both tripled. The Eagles are 4-18.

DIVISION III

Champion 3, Garrettsville 0

GARRETTSVILLE

Ryan Miller tossed a complete-game five-hitter to lead Champion over No. 2-seeded Garrettsville. Trevor Foster had two singles and scored two runs for the Flashes, who advanced to the district semifinal next week in Euclid. Brandon McFarland also scored for Champion. Bob Bright hit a double to lead Garrettsville (15-5).

Crestview 6, Rootstown 5

NEW WATERFORD

Crestview (15-7) rallied from a 4-0 deficit, scoring three runs in the fourth inning and three in the fifth. The Rebels will play Ursuline in a district semifinal next week at Cene Park. Brandon Brooks hit a solo home run and a double for Crestview while Andrew Batchelor homered and singled. Zach Thompson, who doubled, and Anthony Marnejon both had two hits, and Adam Coppock had two RBIs. Matt May struck out four in a complete-game win, despite giving up four runs in the first inning.

DIVISION IV

Mineral Ridge 13, Heartland Christian 3

MINERAL RIDGE

Dan Ferguson had three hits, including a home run and double, and he drove in six runs to lead the Rams (10-14), who play No. 2 seed Warren JFK at Eastwood Field today at 6 p.m. Mike White added a pair of singles and a double for Mineral Ridge, while winning pitcher Nick Ferguson and Greg Strohmeyer each added a double and a single.

Mathews 3, Lisbon 2

VIENNA

Mathews (16-10) rallied from a 2-0 deficit with two runs in the fourth inning and one in the fifth. The Mustangs play at Springfield today at 4:30 p.m. Brandon Cetor had two hits, including a RBI double in the fifth. Aaron Suchanek singled twice and Jeremy Fumerola also doubled.

McDonald 9, Sebring 4

MCDONALD

Mike Schuller’s two-run double tied the score and McDonald went on to score six runs in the third inning. Mike Raschilla had three singles, including a RBI in the third, and Austin Bucan had a double and single, and two RBIs, for the Blue Devils (17-6), who advanced to a district semifinal on Tuesday at Cene Park.
