Employees from ValleyCare Trumbull Memorial Hospital have rejected the latest labor contract offer from the company.

The employees are represented by the Service Employees International Union District 1119. The union issued a statement Friday morning that the contract offered to them included “crippling concessions” that would reduce the number of caregivers who would be on hand at the hospital.

The offer was voted down unanimously by union members, according to the union statement.

The hospital released a statement after the union rejected its offer.

“Trumbull Memorial Hospital is committed to quality patient care and we provide a good working environment for our employees. The hospital put forth a fair and competitive contract proposal for employees represented by the SEIU. We are disappointed that it was not accepted.”
