St. Anthony’s Auxiliary of Struthers will have a Mother’s Day Dinner at 6 p.m. Monday at the Holiday Inn, Boardman. Members and guests are welcome. A buffet dinner will be served and entertainment will be provided by Steve Fazzini. President Arlene DeChellis will update plans for St. Anthony’s Feast Day in June.

St. Elizabeth Health Center Auxiliary will meet at noon Monday in the private dining room of St. Elizabeth’s on Belmont Avenue. The speaker will be Jennifer Arden of the American Cancer Society. “Relay For Life” will be her topic.

CLASSES

Chapter CE of PEO Sisterhood will meet Wednesday at A La Cart Catering in Canfield for a noon luncheon meeting. The program will be chapter assembly committee reports with Debra Moore as facilitator. Hostesses will be Becky Murray and Delores Snyder.

College Club of Sharon will meet for a spring luncheon at noon Saturday at Avalon Golf and Country Club, 761 Youngstown-Kingsville Road, Vienna. The cost is $20. Judge Thomas R. Mahoning Valley Retreads has changed its meeting location. The monthly meetings will take place at Lucianno’s, 1732 S. Raccoon Road. The next meeting will be Saturday. Breakfast will be at 10 a.m. with a meeting afterward. All future meetings will take place at this location the second Saturday of the month, with the exception of the July meeting. LIBRARY FRIENDS

Friends of the Boardman Library will meet for refreshments at 9:30 a.m. Monday in the community room of the Boardman Branch Library, 7680 Glenwood Ave., Boardman. RELIGIOUS GROUPS

SOCIETIES

Poland Historical Society will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Little Red Schoolhouse, 4515 Center Road, Poland. The 7:30 p.m. program will be a continuation of a discussion of Poland’s role in the Civil War, and the town’s reaction to the news of General John Morgan’s raid into Ohio. Names to be discussed include McKinley, Duncan, Botsford and Nesbitt. There also will be a display of local cemetery records of Civil War veterans. Members are asked to take any available information to add to the discussion.

SUPPORT GROUPS

Action Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation, Inc., along with Alpha & Omega First Baptist Church and McGuffey Community Centre, will sponsor a support group meeting for individuals with physical disabilities and their caregivers at 3 p.m. Thursday at the McGuffey Centre, 1649 Jacobs Road, Youngstown. Dr. Richard Esper of the Heart Center, a stroke survivor and practicing cardiologist, will be the guest speaker. Asperger’s Group of Northeast Ohio will meet Tuesday at Canfield Presbyterian Church, 140 W. Main St. The meeting starts at 7 a.m. and is open to anyone with Asperger’s, their families, loved ones or anyone who wants to learn more. The speaker for the evening will be Erica Brown, director of All Children Learn Differently. She will speak on how Asperger’s affects learning, and there also will be a Q&A after her presentation.
