Youngstown seeking to replace civil service administrator quickly
YOUNGSTOWN
The city’s Civil Service Commission decided to replace Jennifer J. Lewis as its administrator as quickly as possible.
Lewis is resigning, effective May 18, for a job at Youngstown State University.
The commission, which met Wednesday, decided to select Lewis’ replacement by having candidates submit resumes detailing their qualifications and experience rather than having them take a written test.
The three commission members and Mayor Charles Sammarone will conduct interviews with qualified candidates.
The mayor is the appointing authority for the job, said city Deputy Law Director Anthony Donofrio.
