Firefighter fundraiser is Friday in Youngstown

YOUNGSTOWN — The Second Annual Sharyl Frasier-Everett Memorial Scholarship Fundraiser Event will take place from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday at the Wick Park Pavilion in Wick Park on the city's North Side.

Proceeds will benefit a scholarship fund in the name of Frasier-Everett.

The event will include a silent auction, 50/50 raffle, cash prizes, refreshments and entertainment. It is sponsored by the Youngstown Association of Black Professional Firefighters.

Frasier-Everett was the city’s first female firefighter. She died in 2011.
