YOUNGSTOWN

The owner of a downtown restaurant will seek permission next week from the city’s planning commission to sell alcoholic beverages at his business.

Robert Laraglia, owner of Roberto’s Italian Ristorante at 103 W. Federal St., needs the commission’s approval, under city law, for a waiver allowing him to sell beer and liquor because his restaurant is within a 500-foot radius of other businesses selling alcoholic beverages.

The commission will meet at 4:45 p.m. Tuesday to consider the request.
