Students hurt in Ohio school bus, van collision

FOREST PARK, Ohio (AP) — Police in suburban Cincinnati say at least five children and two adults suffered minor injuries in a collision between a school bus and a van.

Forest Park police say the bus and van collided about 7 a.m. today.

Gina Burnett, spokeswoman for the Winton Woods City Schools, says the injured students and the bus driver were taken to an area hospital as a precaution. She says the other students on the bus went on to a middle school in Greenhills and are fine.

Police say the van driver also was taken to a hospital with injuries that weren’t life-threatening.

Burnett says there were about 27 students on the bus. The school district has about 3,500 students.

Police say the cause of the crash is under investigation.
