Woman, 74, drowns in Southeast Ohio

AMESVILLE, Ohio

Authorities say a recent hip surgery patient using a walker was swept away and drowned in Southeast Ohio when rising water stalled her vehicle.

Authorities say 74-year-old Barbara Cantrell of Amesville was swept away just before midnight Friday as she and her husband fled their car stalled in rising water. Her body was found Saturday morning.
