The Greatest Golfer of the Valley tournament tees off Friday, Aug. 24 at Mill Creek Golf Course. That launches a two-day, 36-hole qualifier and sets the stage for the best to advance to the final 18 holes at The Lake Club. The second 18 holes for all golfers will be played either at Youngstown Country Club, Trumbull Country Club or Tippecanoe Country Club.

Registration is available on vindy.com/golf. The fees are $100 to enter if you register by June 1. After June 1, fees are $115 for the event. This is the third year for the event. In 2010, 92 golfers competed in seven divisions. In 2011, 194 golfers competed.
