Public invited to pasture walk on dairy farm

A pasture walk is planned for 6:30 p.m. May 24 at John and Matthew Miller’s dairy farm, 3217 Ming Road NE.

The Millers own and operate this dairy farm in Carroll County, where they milk 30 cows on about 140 acres of pasture Discussion will focus on the farm’s solar-powered pressurized water system and challenges of dairying in hill country.

The walk is presented by the Eastern Ohio Grazing Council in cooperation with Carroll, Columbiana, Harrison, Jefferson, and Mahoning Soil & Water Conservation districts and Natural Resources Conservation Service.

Registration is requested by May 21. Call the Carroll SWCD at 330-627-9852. Bring lawn chairs; refreshments will be provided.
