4th annual Rain Barrel Painting Contest seeking artists

CORTLAND

The Trumbull Soil & Water Conservation District will have its 4th annual Rain Barrel Painting Contest called “The Wonderful World of Wetlands.”

Local artists and/or groups are asked to paint a barrel to help educate the community about the benefits of water conservation.

Painted barrels are voted on by visitors to the Trumbull County Fair and judged by representatives from Trumbull Art Gallery. The barrels are then auctioned.

Anyone interested should visit at 520 West Main Street or call 330-637-2056, Ext. 101 to reserve a barrel. Finished barrels must be returned to the SWCD’s fair location June 28.
