Medvec-DeWitt wedding will be a summer event

Michael and Donna Medvec of Hubbard are announcing the engagement of their daughter, Nicole R. Medvec, to Brent R. DeWitt, both of East Amherst, N.Y. Parents of the prospective groom are Robert and Gail DeWitt, also of East Amherst.

The couple will marry at 2 p.m. June 30 in an open ceremony at Zion Lutheran Church in Clarence Center, N.Y. An evening reception by invitation will take place at Transit Valley Country Club in East Amherst.

The bride-elect is a pre-K teacher at Holy Cross Head Start in Buffalo, N.Y. She earned a bachelor’s degree in elementary and early childhood education at Edinboro University and a master’s degree in education from Capella University.

Mr. DeWitt graduated from Bryant & Stratton College with an associate degree in business. He is employed at Jack Frost DeWitt Food Brokers Inc. in Williamsville, N.Y.
