Boardman grad studies dolphins

Kiersten Rader of Boardman recently returned from a 5-month internship in Hawaii, where she studied Atlantic Bottlenose dolphins with Dolphin Quest.

Rader is a junior studying animal sciences and psychology at The Ohio State University. The 2009 Boardman High graduate is the daughter of Dave and Colleen Rader of Boardman.

St. Patrick School is accepting kindergarten through eighth-grade registration for the 2011-12 school year at the school office at 38 E. Water St.

Financial-aid applications are available. The school accepts the Ohio Ed. Choice Scholarship (voucher) and offers busing from Liberty, Brookfield, Hubbard and Youngstown.

There is a before- and after-school child-care program that operates from 7 a.m. through 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Hubbard principal earns state award

Robyn D. Fette, assistant principal at Hubbard Elementary School, has been named the Ohio Association of Elementary School Administrators 2012 assistant principal. This is the first year an assistant principal has been selected.

“Robyn exemplifies the best in school leadership,” association executive director Julie Davis said. “No other profession in the nation exerts a greater influence on children.”
