Tree- and shrub-pruning workshop is Monday in Canfield

CANFIELD — A hands-on tree and shrub pruning workshop will be from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Monday at the Canfield Fairgrounds.

The event was postponed two weeks ago due to a forecast for inclement weather.

The Ohio State University Extension Office here will teach participants how to prune for maximum flower potential and visual attractiveness and to minimize disease.

Participants are advised to bring a folding chair and meet the group at the fair board administration office near the grandstand. Space is still available. The fee is $20, including a set of hand pruners or folding pruning saw. Call 330-533-5538 during business hours today to make a reservation.
