Canfield honors senior softball players

The Canfield High School softball team honored seniors Laura Beck, Gina Mancini and Sarah Vrabel before the team’s April 18 game against Alliance.

A reception was held after the game in the high school cafeteria, for family, friends and teammates. The Senior Night event was hosted by the junior softball parents.

Beck will be attending Geneva College to major in psychology and continue her softball career. Mancini was awarded the Leslie H. Cochran Scholarship to Youngstown State University where she will major in Industrial Engineering.

Vrabel will be attending Saginaw Valley State in Michigan to major in Biology and continue her softball career.

All three girls started their softball careers when they were 7 and 8, playing together in the Canfield Baseball Club. They are also four-year letterwinners in softball.
