March 9
Attempted burglary: Someone tried to enter a home in the 4600 block of Rush Circle through a rear sliding-glass door.
Arrest: Police responded to a dispute at a South Avenue motel, where they charged 40-year-old David K. Lewis of Carrollton, with disorderly conduct and failure to desist. Lewis became agitated and used profanities in front of children and toward police after refusing several times to calm down, a report said.
Theft: Kelly L. Fleeson, 18, of 403 Roosevelt Ave., Bessemer, Pa., and a 16-year-old New Wilmington, Pa., girl were charged with stealing $55 worth of women’s apparel from Walmart, 1300 Doral Drive. Fleeson also was charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
Theft: Two 16-year-old Youngstown girls and a township girl, 17, were charged in the theft of cosmetics, a pregnancy-test kit, candy and energy drinks from Walmart. All three were released to the custody of a sister of one of the girls.
Forgery: A Youngstown man at a South Avenue bank found out two personal checks had been cashed electronically without authorization.
Theft: A Reserve Court woman told police her husband transferred money to buy a motorcycle for $11,500, but never received the vehicle.
Assault: A Salineville man told police that after dropping off his 6-year-old daughter to visit a family member in the 100 block of Stadler Court, the girl reported a neighbor had struck her.
Criminal damaging: A truck in the 800 block of Park Harbour Drive was found with a scratch to its driver’s-side door.
Harassment: A customer reportedly made about 30 such calls to a West Boulevard business regarding an appointment.
Criminal damaging: A rock was used to break a window to a home in the 20 block of Clifton Drive and do about $200 in damage.
Burglary: Someone broke into a garage in the 4600 block of Rush Circle, then tried unsuccessfully to enter the residence.
March 10
Weapon: A traffic stop on state Route 7 resulted in 29-year-old Glenroy L. Dillon’s arrest on charges of carrying a concealed weapon, obstructing official business and resisting arrest. Dillon, of 1460 Yankee Run Drive, Masury, had a folding knife, and refused to identify himself and cooperate, police said.
Theft: A Canfield woman reported the theft of her $100 cellphone at a Boardman-Poland Road eatery.
Assault: Two juveniles reported having been shot with an air gun in the 7300 blocks of Sierra Madre and Salinas trails. One teen had a welt on his left forearm.
March 11
Arrest: Authorities conducing an investigation in the 7100 block of Glendale Avenue took into custody 21-year-old Jennifer T. Johnson, 720 Kendis Circle, Youngstown, on three misdemeanor warrants. She faced two counts of menacing and one of domestic violence.
Burglary: To an apartment in the 6300 block of South Avenue. Several items were disturbed.
Theft: A Youngstown woman reported a $200 wedding band stolen from a restroom at the Southern Park Mall.
Theft: The front license plate was stolen off a vehicle in the 100 block of Carter Circle.
Theft/vandalism: Fifteen trucks at R&J Truck & Auto Body Inc., 8063 Southern Blvd., were broken into. Numerous citizens band radios were removed from the vehicles.
Theft: A man stole a sewer grate from a parking lot in the 500 block of East Midlothian Boulevard.
Theft: A woman in her 50s stole 17 boxes of condoms from Walgreen’s Pharmacy, 7295 Market St.
March 12
Drugs: Police stopped 58-year-old William R. Watson on a bicycle near Southern Boulevard, then charged him with one felony drug-possession count. Watson, of 8250 Southern, had an Oxycodone pill in a backpack, a report showed.
Impersonation: A man walking his dog on Devonshire Drive told officers a man dressed in black with a black baseball cap showed him a phony badge and pretended to be a police officer.
Possible identity fraud: A Willow Drive woman reported getting a letter claiming she was leasing a vehicle from a Cortland car dealership and, after making an inquiry, concluded someone had used the accuser’s name and address without her consent.
Theft/criminal mischief: A Boardman-Canfield Road woman discovered someone had siphoned gasoline from her car and damaged a latch to the gas tank.
Criminal damaging: A vehicle at a South Avenue motel sustained several scratches.
Assault: A worker for a Simon Road business told officers he had been shoved into a wall while at work. The employee complained of right-elbow pain.
Theft: A man stole two pairs of headphones from AT&T, 451 Boardman-Canfield Road.
Bad check: Authorities booked 22-year-old Stephanie A. McCourt, 6306 Elk Road, Canfield, on a charge of passing a bad check after a $390 fraudulent check had been passed at Checksmart, 112 Boardman-Poland Road. McCourt also was wanted on a warrant from Austintown charging her with forgery.
Arrest: A fight between two women in the 5900 block of Market Street led to the arrest of Angela K. Rogers-Sanders, 50, of 50 Pinehurst St., Youngstown, on charges of obstructing official business and resisting arrest. Rogers-Sanders, who is a family member of one of the combatants, hampered the investigation and refused to cooperate, police said.
Domestic violence: Authorities charged Earline D. Gilford-Weaver, 53, of 3958 S. Schenley Ave., Boardman, with the crime after her husband alleged Gilford-Weaver had punched his head and made a statement implying he should die.
Drugs: James L. Patterson, 26, of 430 Division St., Youngstown, faced felony counts of trafficking in and possession of drugs as well as misdemeanor charges of obstructing official business, resisting arrest and possession of drug paraphernalia after authorities stopped him on Applecrest Court. Patterson, who ran from police, had 16 grams of suspected heroin, two grams of suspected cocaine and a bag of suspected marijuana, a report said.
March 15
Drugs: Craig L. Hall, 29, of 7431 Sierra Madre Trail, Boardman, surrendered on warrants charging him with possession of dangerous drugs and drug paraphernalia. Among items found in his residence and vehicle were a suspected marijuana pipe, a digital scale, papers commonly used to roll marijuana and a bag of pills, a report showed.
Drugs: The Boardman Police Department’s Narcotics Enforcement Unit executed a search warrant that resulted in the arrests of Shannon L. Metzler and Shawn A. Metzler, both 43 and of 3940 Sylvia Lane, Boardman. Charges included deception to obtain dangerous drugs as well as possession of cocaine and drug paraphernalia.
March 16
Menacing: A Gertrude Avenue man said a neighbor threatened him.
Harassment: A Garver Drive woman told police a girl disguised her voice and called numerous times claiming to be with the police department.
Arrest: A vehicle check in the 4100 block of South Avenue led to the arrest of 44-year-old Karen M. Davis of Columbus, who was wanted on a warrant from the Ohio State Highway Patrol’s Mansfield post.
Criminal mischief: Eggs were tossed at a garage and a vehicle in the 100 block of Brainard Drive.
Attempted robbery: Two employees with Jewels & More in the Southern Park Mall told authorities a man in his mid-20s wearing a black shirt and jacket and gray sweat pants threatened them when the man returned a ring and one of the workers refused to give him a full refund. The man reached several times toward his waist, but did not produce a weapon, a report said.
Menacing: A worker for a Doral Drive store said her daughter’s former boyfriend made a threat implying that the accuser would be harmed.
Aggravated menacing: An employee of a Doral Drive grocery store told police he overheard a customer threaten to return to shoot several people after the customer evidently had become upset while in line at a register that closed before he reached it.
Misuse of a credit card: A Canavan Drive woman found $200 worth of online transactions made to her credit card without authorization.
Assault: The U.S. Marshals Task Force arrested 33-year-old Jolita M. Monserrat, 2760 Julian St., Youngstown, at her residence on two felony assault charges after a caretaker allegedly had assaulted two residents of Briarfield Care Center, 830 Boardman-Canfield Road. Monserrat was accused of shoving one resident into a hallway and slapping the other’s leg.
March 17
Attempted burglary: A woman returned to her home in the 100 block of Aylesboro Avenue and discovered four window screens had been disturbed.
Harassment: A Hitchcock Drive woman reported getting such calls in violation of a protection order.
Bad checks: Police on Market Street picked up 53-year-old Carlton D. Lillard, 30 17 Rush Blvd., Youngstown, on warrants charging him with one misdemeanor and felony count each of passing bad checks. Two checks totaling $1,160 were cashed at Midwest Money Center Inc., 5021 Market, on a closed account, authorities said.
Drug paraphernalia: Police cited a 16-year-old township female during a traffic stop on Market Street after saying she had a suspected marijuana pipe with residue.
Theft: A man at Family Video, 5205 Market St., was caught on a surveillance camera reaching behind a counter and stealing $101.
Theft: Numerous medications, a cable line and $30 were removed from an apartment in the 4900 block of Brookwood Road.
Drugs: A traffic stop on Southern Boulevard resulted in a citation against 21-year-old Hymie L. Carr, 3775 Bellwood Drive SE, Warren, after police said they found a prescription bottle containing a bag of suspected marijuana, as well as a digital scale with suspected marijuana residue.
Arrest: Officers responded to a disturbance in the 7400 block of West Boulevard, where they charged 53-year-old Melvin H. Caraballo, 7431 West Blvd., with disorderly conduct and failure to desist. Caraballo yelled at a neighbor because she had called authorities, then refused to calm down for police, a report said.
Theft: A Youngstown man reported the theft of a firearm from his vehicle while the car was being serviced at a Market Street dealership.
Criminal damaging: A vehicle’s window frame was pried and damaged in the 4000 block of Riverside Drive, apparently as someone tried to enter.
Identity fraud: A Green Garden Drive man learned someone had used his debit card to withdraw $633 from his account without permission.
March 18
Harassment: An Argyle Avenue woman reported receiving such text messages.
Arrest: A traffic stop near Eisenhower Drive led to the arrest of Dondi Searcy Jr., 27, of 7591 Eisenhower, on a warrant from Youngstown.
Criminal damaging: A car in the 700 block of Oakridge Avenue was found with damage to a passenger-side mirror and a quarter panel.
Theft: Police charged John J. Swiger, 18, of New Cumberland, W.Va., with stealing two necklaces from Spencer Gifts in Southern Park Mall.
Theft: Police charged 54-year-old Donald G. Lawrence, 718 Cambridge Ave., Youngstown, in the theft of miscellaneous clothing from Kmart, 1209 Boardman-Poland Road.
Arrest: Michael P. Wynyard, 30, was taken into custody after having been pulled over near Indianola Road. Wynyard, of 304 N. Hyde St., Niles, was wanted on a warrant from Newton Falls charging him with contempt of court.
Theft: An Annawan Lane woman accused her former boyfriend of removing about $800 worth of jewelry from her residence.
Theft: A portable scanner and a wallet were taken from two vehicles in the 1700 block of Brandon Avenue.
Theft: Roughly $3,500 worth of car-audio equipment was stolen from a vehicle in the 5900 block of Market Street.
Theft: Four outrigger pads were taken from a crane in a rear yard in the 8500 block of South Avenue.
Theft: An $800 laptop computer was stolen from a home in the 30 block of Shadyside Drive.
Attempted theft: Someone entered a car in the 1700 block of Brandon Avenue and rummaged through the glove compartment.
Harassment: An Argyle Avenue woman said her former boyfriend has been sending her unwanted text messages.
March 23
Identity fraud: A Crestline Place woman learned someone had withdrawn $91 from her bank account without permission to make an insurance payment. The insurance company was investigating.
Theft: Two chain saws, a pocket knife and $5 were taken from a car in the 70 block of Arlene Avenue.
Breaking and entering: Someone entered a garage in the 4500 block of Lake Park Road and stole a lawn mower, a portable grill and three gas cans.
Theft: A man and a woman took two $400 electronic tablets from Best Buy, 561 Boardman-Poland Road.
Identity fraud: A Wolcott Drive man reported that, despite having canceled a subscription to a company, he continued to receive three unauthorized debits totaling $118.
Robbery: A man knocked down and fled from an employee of Kmart, 1209 Boardman-Poland Road, who tried to stop him after a shoplifting situation.
Theft: A $300 push mower was removed from a shed in the 8500 block of Southern Boulevard.
Criminal mischief: A Paxton Road woman told police a juvenile had urinated and defecated on her vehicle.
Arrests: Police and the U.S. Marshals Task Force conducted a joint investigation on Lemans Drive that resulted in the arrest of Dennis J. Howells, 29, of 633 Angiline Drive, Boardman, who was wanted on felony charges of receiving stolen property and misuse of credit cards. Facing a felony obstructing-justice charge was Angelo D. Martino Jr., 31, of 134 Lemans, after officers alleged Martino pretended not to know Howells, who was found in Martino’s apartment.
Theft: A man in his 40s stole a T-shirt and undergarments from Family Dollar, 4030 Market St.
Identity fraud: A Johnston Place man discovered someone had fraudulently opened a utility account after he received a notice from a Houston collection agency stating he owes a $742 balance on an outstanding electric bill.
March 24
Assault: Authorities responded to a fight between several males in the 7300 block of South Avenue, where a man reported having been punched in the head as he tried to diffuse the situation. He suffered injuries to his right eyebrow and forehead.
Arrest: Officers answering an assault call in the 4000 block of Hopkins Road arrested 29-year-old Jennifer Stitzel, 411 Rhoda Ave., Youngstown, on a probation-violation warrant from Campbell. The original charge was receiving stolen property.
Drugs: A traffic stop in the 7400 block of Market Street led to a citation against 19-year-old Robert L. Thompson Jr., 127 Funston St., Youngstown, after police said a small quantity of suspected marijuana and a pill bottle with 57 tablets and no label were found.
Theft: Police arrested a man and a woman after nine pairs of pants and jeans totaling $395 were stolen from Christopher & Banks in the Southern Park Mall. The report, however, had no information on the arrestees.
Assaults: Two men reported having been assaulted by each other at a Boardman-Poland Road restaurant. One man said he was punched; the other said he was struck repeatedly.
Counterfeit: An East Palestine man told police he learned that a $20 bill he had received as change for a purchase at a Boardman-Canfield Road pharmacy was fake.
Assault: An Eisenhower Drive woman alleged her boyfriend bit her about 10 times after becoming angry about a text message she had received.
Theft: A $2,700, 13-horsepower generator was stolen from Rental Corral, 4627 Market St.
Theft: A woman reportedly rented but failed to return a $1,388 electric-wall steamer device to Rental Corral.
March 25
Domestic violence: A Girard boy, 16, was taken into custody at the Southern Park Mall on a domestic-violence charge after his mother alleged the teen had shoved a table into her and scratched her right wrist during an argument.
Arrest: Zachary T. Howell, 35, of 1133 Springdale Ave., Youngstown, was picked up in the 100 block of Indianola Road on warrants charging him with domestic violence and criminal trespassing after a woman alleged he had threatened to kill her and blow up her vehicle. Howell also was at her residence in violation of conditions of his bond, police said.
Theft: Heather L. Rodgers, 19, of Reynoldsville, Pa., and 21-year-old Dalton G. Dickey of DuBois, Pa., were charged in the theft of undergarments, toiletries and hygiene products from Kmart.
Domestic violence: Police charged 24-year-old Felix Lopez Jr., 4011 Glenwood Ave., Boardman, with the crime after his fiancee alleged Lopez had grabbed her arms and pulled out tufts of her hair during an argument.
Misuse of a credit card: A Sugarcane Drive woman found a $130 unauthorized transaction had been made with her card.
Assault/theft: A woman told authorities her 17-year-old daughter’s boyfriend smacked the girl’s face during an argument in the 30 block of Clifton Drive, and that he refused to return her $150 cellphone.
Misuse of a credit card: A Palo Verde Drive woman found out her credit card was used to make a $208 online purchase without her consent.
Criminal mischief: Someone in the 8000 block of Hunting Valley Drive damaged a mailbox and tossed eggs at a home.
March 26
Arrest: An erratic driver on South Avenue caught the attention of police, who arrested Nicholas A. Sugar, 26, of 4331 Southern Blvd, Boardman. He was charged with operating a vehicle impaired.
April 5
Theft: Samantha L. Toke, 19, of 25 Homestead Drive, and Guiliana L. Silvestri, 20, of 66 Green Bay Drive, were charged. The two Boardman wome n were accused of taking $152 worth of makeup and jewelry from Target, 417 Boardman-Poland Road, and released on summonses.
Domestic violence: Steven S. Moses, 24, of 331 Mathews Road, Boardman, was charged with the crime after his girlfriend alleged Moses had choked her during an argument. The accuser had redness to her neck.
Theft: A man and a woman stole about $240 worth of baby clothing from Babies “R” Us, The Baby Super Store, 1240 Doral Drive.
Theft: A $1,043 deposit was missing from a safe at a Boardman-Canfield Road fast-food restaurant.
Theft: Police charged 38-year-old Timothy A. Esposito and Norma J. Esposito, 62, both of 1911 Pointview St., Youngstown, with stealing $430 worth of children’s clothing from Macy’s in the Southern Park Mall. The younger Esposito also was wanted on a charge of failing to appear in court.
Identity fraud: A West Boulevard woman found out her debit-card number had been used without permission to make three unauthorized charges totaling about $40.
Burglary: Took place in the 4500 block of Grover Drive via the front door. Missing was $100.
April 6
Theft: A man left the Blue Wolf Tavern, 1295 Boardman-Canfield Road, without paying his $9 tab.
Menacing: An Aravesta Avenue woman reported several people threatened to harm her daughter.
Theft: A 17-year-old Campbell girl was accused of taking a $10 set of earphones from Walmart, 1300 Doral Drive, then released to the custody of her mother.
Theft: A man in his mid-30s stole miscellaneous merchandise from Family Dollar, 4030 Market St.
Theft: Julie L. Mayberry, 24, of 6621 Lowellville Road, Lowellville, was charged with stealing five pairs of jeans from Kohl’s, 383 Boardman-Poland Road, and returning three pairs for a refund.
Harassment: A Locust Avenue woman said a man sent her four unwanted text messages.
Domestic violence: Davis J. Waggoner, 29, of 4055 South Ave., Boardman, was arrested on a felony charge after his partner alleged Waggoner had choked her during an argument.
April 7
Theft by deception: Police picked up 42-year-old Dwayne M. McMullen of Hartford, Conn., at the Trumbull County jail on a misdemeanor warrant charging him with switching a price tag on a vacuum cleaner at Walmart, resulting in a $400 loss to the store.
Burglary: To a residence in the 5000 block of Tippwood Court. Among items missing were a 55-inch TV, a laptop computer and an Xbox system and related accessories.
Possible theft: A woman reported her $600 cellphone missing after having misplaced it at a Doral Drive store.
Theft: A Canfield woman reported her daughter’s $500 cellphone stolen at the Southern Park Mall.
Illegal dumping: A man told police someone had discarded what appeared to be a gas tank with loose wiring on his Firnley Avenue driveway.
Fraud: A Ron Joy Place man discovered his residence had been listed online for rent without his consent.
Drugs: Police investigated a vehicular crash on Lockwood Boulevard before charging 22-year-old Matthew T. Tomko, 3755 Mercedes Drive, Canfield, with two counts of drug possession and one of operating a vehicle impaired. Found were suspected heroin in a folded piece of paper, as well as part of a prescription pill, a report said.
Theft: Police charged 20-year-old Scarlett C. Smallwood, 42 Willow Drive, Boardman, with removing memory cards and other items from Walmart.
Assault: A man told officers two men punched the back of his head several times in a restroom at a South Avenue restaurant. The accuser complained of soreness to the affected area.
Domestic violence: Timothy A. Fulton, 37, was taken into custody at his residence, 8190 Southern Blvd., Boardman, on three counts of assault on a police officer and one each of domestic violence, obstructing official business and resisting arrest after his girlfriend alleged he had used a T-shirt to gag her, then punched and clawed at her face during an argument. Fulton also fought with officers, who had to use pepper spray and a stun gun to get him under control, a report said.
April 8
Assault: Kevin L. Thompson, 29, of 1340 Republic Ave., Youngstown, faced a simple-assault charge after an employee with Taco Bell, 458 Boardman-Canfield Road, alleged Thompson had bitten his finger, causing it to bleed. Earlier, Thompson became angry when the eatery refused to serve him, then stood in the drive-through and refused to allow a vehicle to pull forward, a report showed.
Aggravated menacing: A Firnley Avenue woman reported having received two text messages implying that she would be killed.
Unauthorized use of a vehicle: An East Parkside Drive woman said a family member took her 2003 Honda vehicle without her knowledge or permission.
April 12
Misuse of a credit card: A Crystal Drive man discovered 10 fraudulent purchases totaling $646 had been made with his debit card.
Fraud: A Glenwood Avenue woman found out someone had used her credit card without authorization to make several charges.
Attempted breaking and entering: The front door was damaged after someone had apparently tried to break into Petsmart, 1100 Doral Drive, though nothing was missing.
Vandalism: A work truck in the 1800 block of Lealand Avenue was found with paint damage and a broken rear window. The estimate was $2,000.
Menacing: A New Middletown man at a McClurg Road business said he feared he would be assaulted during an argument that escalated.
Breaking and entering: The rear door at a McDonald’s restaurant, 1110 Boardman-Poland Road, was found ajar, and an undisclosed sum of money was missing from a safe.
April 13
Stalking: A South Shore Drive woman told police her former boyfriend left unwanted notes and gifts at her home and visited her place of employment.
Criminal damaging: Windows to an apartment in the 400 block of Mathews Road were damaged. Also a vehicle was found with all of its tires flattened.
Domestic violence: Norman D. Smith, 41, was charged with the crime after his girlfriend alleged that Smith, of 829 Mathews Road, Boardman, was intoxicated and punched her mouth and face. The accuser had a bloody mouth and several other injuries, police said.
Theft: Two concrete blocks were removed from a business in the 6000 block of Market Street.
Aggravated menacing: A Wilda Avenue man told authorities another man followed him home, pointed a firearm at the accuser and fled in a blue Pontiac vehicle.
Theft: Someone took $2,140 worth of scrap from a trailer at a McClurg Road business.
Criminal damaging: A Wolosian Circle man reported his girlfriend smashed two picture frames and overturned a kitchen table and chairs at his apartment.
Theft: A box containing about $2,400 worth of jewelry was missing from a residence in the 6000 block of Youngstown-Poland Road.
Arrest: Courtney B. Knicely, 26, of 3733 Eagle Creek Road, Leavittsburg, surrendered on a charge of violating a protection order, a first-degree misdemeanor, after a Charles Avenue woman alleged Knicely had posted online threats against her, in violation of the order.
Criminal damaging: A vehicle’s antenna was damaged in the 4000 block of South Schenley Avenue.
Theft: A woman stole a Pittsburgh Steelers purse from Touchdown Gifts & More in the Southern Park Mall.
April 14
Felonious assault: A Pierce Drive man alleged his wife with whom he’s in the process of a divorce tried to run him over with a vehicle during an argument about money.
Breaking and entering: A garage window was broken in the 20 block of Charles Avenue. Missing were various items.
Arrest: Officers charged 54-year-old Candace S. Beight, 57 Willow Drive, Boardman, with failure to comply with police, obstructing official business and operating a vehicle impaired after saying Beight had led them on a vehicular pursuit and had two bottles of vodka in the car.
Assault: A man reported having been struck above the left eye at a South Avenue restaurant. He had a bruise to the affected area.
Possible theft: A Struthers man reported his cellphone lost or stolen at a Boardman-Poland Road business.
Attempted burglary: A door knob to an apartment in the 4900 block of Brookwood Road had been tampered with, though police found no signs of entry.
Theft: A $550 cellphone was stolen from a car in the 5900 block of Market Street.
Auto theft: A 1999 Chevrolet Cavalier was stolen in the 4600 block of South Avenue.
Theft: A man left Quaker Steak & Lube, 435 Boardman-Poland Road, and failed to pay his $24.20 bill.
April 15
Domestic violence: Police charged 28-year-old Eric Carbone, 5791 Sheridan Road, Poland, with the crime after his sister alleged Carbone had punched her mouth and pushed her to the ground.
Domestic violence: Authorities charged Antoinette B. Johnson, 20, and Corey K. Reese, 28, both of 4910 Brookwood Road, Boardman, with domestic violence after having responded to a fight between them. Johnson alleged Reese had struck her several times in the face; Reese alleged Johnson had punched him.
Auto theft: A 2002 Hyundai Elantra was stolen in the 1700 block of Mathews Road.
Criminal damaging: A pickup truck in the 4400 block of South Avenue was found with all of its tires deflated.
Vandalism: A door to an apartment in the 7000 block of West Boulevard sustained $400 in damage.
Theft: Several pieces of jewelry were missing from a residence in the 7900 block of Lost Tree Drive.
April 16
Domestic violence: Jerald C. Essad II, 29, and Shannon R. Romeo, 31, were charged after officers responded to a disturbance at their home, 4930 Brookwood Road, Boardman. Essad alleged having been attacked while on a couch; Romeo alleged Essad choked her and held a large butcher knife to her throat, though police were unable to locate the knife, a report showed.
April 19
Criminal damaging: Someone used a pair of scissors to do $300 in damage to an air-conditioning unit at a residence in the 1900 block of Boardman-Poland Road.
Trespassing/menacing: An Alburn Drive man told police a woman entered his apartment without permission and threatened him.
Menacing: A Youngstown woman alleged a man had threatened to punch her face during an argument at a Boardman-Canfield Road fast-food restaurant.
Harassment: An employee with a Boardman-Canfield Road doctor’s office reported an irate patient yelled and swore during several unwanted calls to the business.
Theft: A Sierra Madre Trail woman reported her son’s $250 bicycle stolen.
Theft: A Youngstown woman reported the theft of her automated-teller-machine card while at a Doral Drive store.
Drugs: Police investigated a suspicious vehicle in the 100 block of Lemans Drive before issuing citations to Tiffany E. Bennett, 21, of Coitsville Road, Campbell; Justin A. Davis, 21, of 8009 Hunters Court, Boardman; and Alan Burns, 20, of Copley, Ohio. All were charged with marijuana possession.
Aggravated menacing: A worker for a South Avenue business said a co-worker threatened to harm the accuser during a discussion about the co-worker’s job status.
Criminal mischief: Someone spray-painted obscenities on a sliding board and other playground equipment at Market Street Elementary School, 5555 Market St.
Theft/criminal damaging: A wallet was missing from a car in the 4200 block of Chester Drive that was broken into, though police said they found no signs of forced entry.
Trespassing: Police charged 24-year-old Vincent R. Thomas Jr., 2733 Cain St., Youngstown, with one misdemeanor criminal-trespassing count and one felony count of violating a protection order after a family member said he refused to leave her Paulin Drive residence. Thomas, who also was wanted on a warrant from Campbell, faced the felony charge because of a prior conviction, a report showed.

Burglary: To a garage in the 7100 block of Millcreek Boulevard, where a garage-door opener was removed from a vehicle.
Criminal damaging: A Cook Avenue woman told police a Salem woman smashed the accuser’s windshield with a rock.
Theft: Erica M. Lough, 30, was arrested on a warrant during a traffic stop near Market Street. Lough, of 2654 Bristol-Champion Trail, Bristolville, was accused of stealing eight video-game controllers from Target, 417 Boardman-Poland Road.
Aggravated menacing: Two men reported having been threatened with bodily harm while at a home in the 4800 block of Erie Street.
Theft: A man left the Wagon Wheel Motel, 7015 Market St., without paying his $120 room charge.
Theft: An Erskine Avenue woman discovered numerous pieces of mail that she had placed on hold were missing.
Theft: Marilyn Myers, 57, and Gene D. Myers, 61, both of 8250 Southern Blvd., Boardman, were charged with stealing 16 articles of clothing valued at a total of $389 from the J.C. Penney store in the Southern Park Mall.
Menacing: A South Avenue man accused a maintenance worker of threatening to harm him as part of ongoing problems between the two.
Menacing: An employee with a Simon Road auto-service business told police a former worker made a threat.
Domestic violence: A charge was pending against a man after his girlfriend, of Forest Park Place, alleged he punched her face several times, pulled her hair and threatened to kill her during an argument related to text messages she had received.
Vehicle theft: A recreational vehicle and assorted camping equipment were stolen from Modern Office Products, 7825 South Ave.
Criminal damaging: A fence in the 6700 block of Market Street sustained $100 in damage.
Theft: A worker for Sprint Power Cellular Solutions LLC in the Southern Park Mall discovered an undisclosed sum of money and a personal-contract agreement missing.
Attempted breaking and entering: Someone tried to force open a door to a storage shed in the 4100 block of Riverside Drive.
Identity theft: An Aylesboro Avenue woman found out her personal information had been used to set up three cellphone accounts and access her bank account.
April 21
Harassment: A Washington Boulevard woman reported having received numerous such calls related to a disagreement.
Attempted burglary: Someone pried open two windows to a residence in the 4000 block of Riverside Drive, though nothing was missing and it appeared the would-be burglar was unsuccessful in entering.
Theft: Two $130 propane tanks were stolen from Modern Office Products.
Arrest: Officers at a South Avenue motel took into custody 56-year-old James M. Barber, 7393 South Ave., Boardman, who Howland Township police wanted on a charge of violating a protection order.
Criminal damaging: Eggs struck the front portion as well as the roof of a home in the 1400 block of Turnberry Drive.
Arrest: A traffic stop in the 5000 block of Market Street resulted in 32-year-old Michael D. Herman’s arrest. Herman, who listed Youngstown addresses on Marion and Glenwood avenues, was wanted by city police on three warrants.

Theft: Someone in a Ford F-150 pickup truck reportedly stole $800 worth of aluminum parts from R&J Truck & Auto Body Inc., 8063 Southern Blvd.
Theft: A Shields Road man noticed his wallet missing from a bedroom.
Theft: A Bishop Woods Trail woman reported her daughter’s $200 cellphone missing.
Harassment: A Ron Joy Place woman said her teenage son has gotten such calls.
Arrest: Police on Market Street pulled over 49-year-old Robert A. Smith, 25 Market, Youngstown, who was accused by Columbiana County authorities of contempt of court related to a charge of receiving stolen property.
