Accomplices get prison for drug murder in W. Pa.

SOMERSET, Pa. (AP) — Two men who gunned down a man in the kitchen of a western Pennsylvania duplex on the orders of a New York drug lord have been sentenced to prison.

Twenty-five-year-old Roland Washington II and 37-year-old Toriano McCray, both of Flint, Mich. were sentenced Thursday for third-degree murder in the August 2009 murder of 29-year-old Bryant Adderley, of Brooklyn, N.Y. McCray will spend 10 to 30 years in a Pennsylvania prison and Washington 7 1/2 to 30 years.

The Daily American of Somerset reports the men received leniency because they testified against 33-year-old Calvin Mallory Jr., of Brooklyn.

Mallory is serving life in prison for ordering the killing in a duplex in Bakersville, Pa., because he believed Adderley was skimming cash from Mallory’s drug operation.
