Police searching for robber of Shell gas station in Boardman

Police are investigating a robbery at the Shell gas station, 950 Boardman-Poland Road.

A Shell manager told police a man walked into the store about 10:20 p.m. Wednesday, placed several items on the counter to pay and then asked for six cartons of cigarettes.

As the manager was placing the cartons into the bags, the man reached over the counter, and took the bags filled with more than $300 worth of cigarettes.

The suspect is described as a black male between age of 45 and 50, who is taller than 6 feet and weighs between 275 and 300 pounds.

He has black and gray, braided shoulder-length hair and was wearing red plaid pajama pants, reports state.
