Weathersfield Township has new email, texting service for residents

MINERAL RIDGE — Do you want to now what important news is coming out of Weathersfield Township right after township employees learn about it?

The township now has a new cellphone texting or email service available for just that purpose.

The township has signed up with a California-based company called Nixle, which provides free cellphone texting or emails for public-safety agencies across the country.

Township residents can sign up for the service by going to the township website at www.weathersfieldtwp.com and follow the step-by-step instructions, or stop at the office and pick up a copy of the instructions.
