Authorities say helicopter down in east Phoenix

PHOENIX (AP) — Authorities in Phoenix say a helicopter has gone down in a residential area.

Police spokesman Officer James Homes said today that details on what type of helicopter is involved or how many people were on board weren’t immediately available.

It also isn’t known if there were injuries among those on the copter or on the ground.

The Phoenix police and fire departments are at the scene in the eastern part of the city.
