Owners of two Mega Millions tickets purchased in Boardman and Niles matched five of the six Mega Millions numbers Friday night and are worth a quarter of a million dollars each.

Lottery officials say 10 tickets sold in Ohio for the latest Mega Millions drawing got five of the six numbers correct, though they fell short of winning the record-breaking $640 million jackpot.

The ten auto-pick tickets matched the five regular numbers but missed the Mega Ball number in Friday’s drawing for the multistate game. Some of those tickets were sold at grocery stores in Niles and Englewood and at convenience stores in Boardman, Berea, Brunswick and Newark. The rest were bought at gas stations in Cleveland, Lewis Center and South Point and at a beer and wine shop in Chesterland.

Winning tickets for Friday’s drawing were sold in Illinois, Kansas and Maryland. The winning numbers were: two, four, 23, 38 and 46. The Mega Ball was 23, and the Megaplier was 3.
