Poland girl reaches competition finals

GREENVILLE, PA.

Julia Cooper, 12, of Poland, is a finalist in the Greenville Symphony Orchestra Rising Star Competition.

The seventh-grader at Poland Middle School will sing in the finals, April 14 at Passavant Center on the campus of Thiel College.

Tickets are $10 and can be purchased at the door or by calling 724-588-6164.

Julia, the daughter of David and Sandy Cooper, has sung the national anthem before events at Covelli Centre, and has won the Poland Idol singing contest twice.
