YOUNGSTOWN

Local girls, their friends and families are invited to experience the American Girl Fashion Show, which the Kids’ Crew of Akron Children’s Hospital Mahoning Valley is presenting.

Show times will be 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. April 28 and 29 at Stambaugh Auditorium.

The program showcases historical and contemporary fashions for girls and their dolls. Proceeds will benefit local programs and services of the hospital.

Showing off the fashions will be more than 130 local models as lively commentary, music and decorations create an exciting experience. Audiences will view historical clothing, including daywear, sleepwear and special-occasion attire that the American Girl characters Kaya, Josefina, Addy, Rebecca, Kit, Molly and Julie might have worn. Rounding out the program will be contemporary “My American Girl” outfits for older girls and sweet Bitty Baby fashions for very little ones.

Refreshments will come in the form of a tea party luncheon with party favors, raffles and door prizes. Tickets cost $30 per person and can be ordered by calling 330-746-8712. Also available are sponsorship opportunities and program book ads.
