Niles resident will celebrate 101 years

Faye Manna will celebrate her 101st birthday Tuesday. The staff at Shepherd of the Valley-Niles, where she is a resident, will present her with a birthday cake and balloons at lunch.

Mrs. Manna was born in 1911 and grew up in Warren. She was the second-oldest of five children, and the only girl. She was a “mother hen” to her four brothers.

Married twice, she worked as a waitress at Veneris Restaurant in Warren, and later at Hills department store.
