Dancers from Stage Left Theater Arts Academy in Canfield recently competed at Onstage New York dance competition which included local studios, as well as studios from Pittsburgh and Cleveland.

Stage Left took home first and second-place overall in both of its trio routines and its group number “Cup of Life” took fourth place overall against 20 other routines from the competition.

The girls are part of the larger Performance Company of Stage Left and have performed locally since last August at various benefits, charity events and First Night Canfield, in addition to competing.

“The formation of the Performance Company this year has opened doors and venues these performers would have never experienced otherwise and we are committed to using our dance and theater abilities to serve the community in any way we can,” said director Kimberly Lisowski.

The girls will be traveling to Sandusky this summer to compete at the national level. Visit www.stageleftacademy.com to find where they will be performing across the valley.
