AHA tells everyone to take a walk

The Youngstown area American Heart Association is encouraging area businesses and residents to put one foot in front of the other and start down a path to healthier living.

The sixth annual National Walking Day is Wednesday, and the AHA encourages all Americans to spend 30 minutes of their day walking. Studies show that those who walk briskly for at least 30 minutes five times per week improve circulation, lower cholesterol and blood pressure levels and promote weight loss.
