Wrestling show at Lordstown High

LORDSTOWN

IWA Championship Wrestling will present a show at Lordstown High School, 1824 Salt Springs Road, at 7 p.m. April 21.

Scheduled to wrestle are Sharkboy, Doink the Clown, Dominic DeNucci, Preston Steele, Lord Zoltan, Shawn Blaze, Sassy Stephie, Flyin’ Ryan Burke, Scott Prodigy, Johnny Mercury, Bouncer, Angel and Axel.

Tickets are $12 for ringside and $10 for general admission, and can be purchased at the door or in advance at Lordstown High School or by calling 330-824-2581.

Proceeds will benefit Lordstown High student activities.

Rapper Drake coming to Niagara, Blossom

PITTSBURGH

Drake, with J. Cole, Waka Flocka Flame, Meek Mill and more, will come to First Niagara Pavilion near Pittsburgh on May 26, and Blossom Music Center, Cuyahoga Falls, on May 28. Aerosmith tickets go on sale Saturday

Diamond Nicole headlines concert

Privilege Nightclub, 1743 Raccoon Road, will present Springfest, a show featuring R&B singer Diamond Nicole, with Ky’Ly’Ntae and Buckeye Boys, on April 6. Doors open at 5:30 p.m.

Tickets are $15 in advance at Privilege and $20 at the door.

Lecture on Titanic highlights series

WARREN

The 2012-13 season in the Trumbull Town Hall lecture series will include a presentation on the sinking of the Titanic by Bruce Caplan on Nov. 14, and the return of Dr. Elliot Engel, who will discuss the history and mystery of wine, on April 17, 2013.

Also visiting will be presidential historian Richard Norton Smith on Sept. 19 and food historian Francine Segan, who will discuss chocolate, on March 12.

New premiere date for Valley native’s film

LOS ANGELES

Hallmark Movie Channel has moved the premiere of “Lake Effects,” a film produced by Warren native Sara Elizabeth Timmins and starring Jane Seymour, to 8 p.m. May 6.

The film originally was scheduled to premiere on HMC on May 19.

“Lake Effects” was shot in Smith Mountain Lake, Va. The film centers around a career woman who returns to her hometown for a funeral. While there, she reconnects with her family and rekindles her love for the picturesque town.
