Duo offers musical program

The duo of Julie M. Wilcox and Amanda Rae Matson will present “Poison in Paradise: A Collection of Art, Song and Aria” at 3:30 p.m. Saturday at the McDonough Museum of Modern Art, 523 Wick Ave.

Wilcox, a Canfield native and a pianist, will accompany Matson, a soprano. The program will include works by Faure, Gounod, Quilter, Puccini, Strauss and Nicolai.

Suggested donation is $10.

Wilcox and Matson have been collaborating since 2003. “Poison in Paradise” also will be performed in New York and Cincinnati.

Wilcox also performs with Vivre Musicale, a chamber music society that seeks to redefine and renew chamber music through the diversification of concert programming and performance venues, and through collaboration with other artistic mediums. She also is a music teacher with a private studio in Cincinnati.
