Pet Expo returns to Eastwood venue

The Northeast Ohio Pet Expo show and sale will return to the Eastwood Expo Center this weekend with new services and items for all types of pets. Hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday.
Trainers, retailers, groomers, pet-food manufacturers, pet resorts, service specialists, pet apparel, photographers and animal charities will be represented. There will be an exotic petting zoo, two authors and a pet-portrait artist.
New this year will be the Look Like Your Pet contest at 2 p.m. Saturday. The popular Pet Fashion Show will return at 1 p.m. Sunday.
Doris Straka, an animal communicator, will be on hand to relate what your pet is really feeling and help with a variety of pet issues, including sources of pain, changes in behavior and overcoming bad habits. Straka will give seminars and individual sessions.
There also will be live animals on exhibit as well pets for sale and adoption by animal-rescue charities.
