Austintown Senior Center, 100 Westchester Drive, has planned the following: Monday, Walking Club at 9 a.m., blood pressure checks and painting class ($5) at 9:30, Boardman Community Fun Day, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., bingo at 10 and computer practice and Food, Fitness and Fun (a six-week course) at noon; Tuesday, Mountaineer Casino and Resort, 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., Vets Helping Vets at 10, Zumba and bridge club at 10:30, bingo at noon, beginner computer class at 3 p.m. and intermediate computer class at 4; Wednesday, Walking Club and open exercise/cornhole/pingpong/pool at 9 a.m., bingo at 10 and Austintown Fun Day, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.; Thursday, yoga and open exercise/Wii bowling/pingpong at 9:30 and bingo, monthly birthday party, 50-50 drawing and open computer lab at noon; and Friday, Walking Club at 9 a.m., bingo and “Tracing Your Family Tree” at 10 and open exercise/Wii bass fishing and “A Matter of Balance” at noon. Easter Seals of Mahoning, Trumbull and Columbiana counties announces that this year the Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program will be available in Mahoning and Columbiana counties. It’s offered to seniors age 60 and older. It provides 10 $5 coupons to be used at designated farmers markets for locally grown fruits, vegetables, herbs and honey during the growing season. Life Long Learning Institute presents Pilates for Seniors, scheduled from 10 to 11 a.m. April 17 in the Gathering Room at Park Vista. Susan M. Yarab, PT, MHS, GCS, is the presenter. Pilates is an exercise focused on balance, flexibility and coordination, and the presentation will focus on the benefits of such a fitness program and include some chair and breathing exercises.
