Janis Weldon, Michael Evatz to wed in May

OXNARD, CALIF.

James and Connie Weldon of Oxnard, Calif., are announcing the engagement and coming marriage of their daughter, Janis Lee Weldon of Canfield, to Michael Paul Evatz of Youngstown. Parents of the prospective groom are Robert and Barbara Evatz of Madison, Ohio.

The couple will be married in an open ceremony May 5 at St. Michael Church in Canfield. A reception by invitation is being planned at The Lake Club in Poland.

Miss Weldon graduated from Conejo Valley Adult School in Thousand Oaks, Calif., and is a phlebotomist for Quest Diagnostics in Twinsburg, Ohio.

Mr. Evatz is a firefighter with the Youngstown Fire Department and is attending Youngstown State University.
