Health fair will gather 300 Sisters in Red


YOUNGSTOWN

The Youngstown Chapter of The Links, Inc., will sponsor its sixth annual 300 Sisters in Red Health Fair from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. April 14 at Youngstown State University, in Kilcawley Center.

The program will offer a full slate of health-related activities and speakers.

Registration is free, required by April 5 and limited to the first 300 women. To register call Humility of Mary Healthline toll free at 877-700-4647.

Parking is free in M-2 deck only.

The schedule follows:

• 8 to 10 a.m.: Free health screenings.

Appointments are required for total HDL, LDL cholesterol, blood sugar and bone density screenings (12-hour fast required for cholesterol and blood sugar). Blood pressure, body fat, computerized heart health assessment, massages, exercise fitness and interactive dance will be offered (wear comfortable shoes and clothes).

Fitness by Jaison Boyd, CT (NFPT); Zumba by Valarie Gordon, certified Zumba instructor.

Door prizes, refreshments and vendors.

• 8:30 to 10 a.m.: Breakout speakers.

Dr. Michael Obeng, MD, FACS, breast reconstruction surgery.

Molly Oder, RD, LD, sickle cell anemia

Dr. Vicki Doe, PhD, HFS, exercise and the heart.

Dr. Maryann Echols, PhD, psychologist, managing stress.
